Just another quick question regarding dimensions....

if i have a dimension in a part(i.e. D2insketch1) can I 'link' it to a value in another part using a a link function or an equation? I need for the second part to re-build itself based on changed to the first part. Hope that makes sense

cheers

Hi,

If u have a Sketch dimension in Part1.part and another extrude dimension in Part2.part means u have to link that by the equation D1@sketch1 = "D1@[email protected]"

I think it will help u....

In this way u have to link the interpart dimensions

Cheers

A quick idea: Make an anssembly fromthat parts. Is not need to mate the parts butis recomandedifpossible. Define heare an equation between the dimenssion you are interested.

A part isupdatedwhen the other one ismodifiedIFTHIS anssembly is open.

And a question: The two parts are not in the same anssembly by default ?

Good luck !
