Dimensions of a curved surface-flattened

wilmath

New member
I have created some parts with curved surfaces.

I want to build a physical model using coroplast plastic.

Is there a way to flatten the surfaces so that I can dimension them, cut the parts out of coroplast, and then use the coroplast to build a physical model?

Thanks Rick

Look into using the flatten quilt command. You will have
to do a surface copy of the surfaces you want to flatten
and then use insert-advanced-flatten quilt to flatten it.

Thanks! I did find the command in the insert menu. To do a surface copy, would I use control c, control v ?

Yes. One way to do it is to highlight the surf so it becomes pink, then ctrl-c and ctrl-v and you are done.
