Draw a rectangle around a note

EddyVE

New member
Hi all,

In a drawing, I sometimes want to draw a rectangle around a note.

Since the sketcher can't seem to draw rectangles directly (lines,
circles, ellipses, yes, but no rectangle..), I usually draw 4
construction lines and then draw 4 solid lines over them. Afterwards I
delete the construction lines.

A very tedious operation and I would find it very strange if there wouldn't be an easier way. Except I haven't found it (yet).

Does anybody know of an easier way to draw a rectangle around a note in a drawing?

I'm using WildFire 1.0

Kind regards

Eddy

Ankarl,

That is pretty much what I wanted. Thanks!

Only this: When I have a note that consists of more than 1 line of text, WF draws a rectangle around every separate line instead of 1 big rectangle around all the text lines. Is this possible too?

Kind regards
Eddy

That beats me

You could of course use a table 1x1 row/column and enter your text, not as quick though.

I only used WF2 for four months before I got a new job and was banished to Autocrap hell, but I have used Pro/E since rev 17.

I have never liked the @[blahblahblah@] thing.

I have always used the 1x1 table cell. Much more flexible, but sometimes a bit touchy when it comes to putting in parameters, especially dimensions. I didn't work with WF2 long enough to know if they ironed that out.

Anyway, the 1x1 table is the best way I had found up to the day I had to walk away from pro/e <sniff>

Yes, a table seems to be the best solution. Too bad you can not drag it to resize it and you can't simply delete it on-screen.

Paul, may I offer you my sincere condolences..

I did it the other way around.. although one never knows. Maybe one day I too will be exiled (back) to AC...
