DRAWING - BACKGROUND COLOUR

STUARTF

New member
Why doesn't Pro/E recall my drawing background colour (color) settings?.

I save the syscol.scl file where pro/e starts and in my config.pro file I have the option:

system_background_color set to : C:\WILDFIRESTARTDIRECTORY\syscol.scl

All I want to do is have the backgroung colour set to pure black instead of that charcol shadeas default.

Any suggestions please?

Hi,

To set the drawing background to pure black then in tools<options

type system_background_color and set itto 0 0 0(three zeros seperated by space).Make sure that the config.pro file is saved in the startup directory.

close the proe window and start it again.IT WILL WORK.

Hi

I'm struggeling with the same problem. and it is really annoying when I switch between Pro and Autocad.

I've tried to save the syscol.scl file "everywhere", but no success.Ended up making a mapkey that set thecolour to black (0 0 0 as Deepak Bhat describes).

So I have to run the mapkey daily, but it is the best I can suggest.

In your config.pro you want to set the option

system_colors_file C:\WILDFIRESTARTDIRECTORY\syscol.scl <== is the location of your color file that you have saved.

Hi KF,

Why are you creating the mapkey for changing the background color.Just make sure that your config.pro is saved in the startup location(rmb on the proe icon in the desktop<properties there you have the startup location)just save the config.pro in that location and then launch proe by double clicking on the proe icon from which you took the startup location.config.pro has to be saved after u have set system_background_colorto 0 0 0.SIMPLE.

Finally I got it right!!!

This is what I dont like about ProE - all the "config files" that you need to keep track of. I've never created any, but I got no less than nine config.pro on my harddrive. (because of

The mapkey was made because I didn't want to spend any more time on it.

OF COURSE I have to tell Pro to look for, and where,a syscol-file.
