Drawing mode in WF 5.0... FINALLY...

something entirely more lame than the name 'creo' itself... what a POS

clicky tabs across the top... double clicking does nothing if you're in the wrong tab now... bye bye productive mapkeys, hello nothing works again... right click, LOL or WTF?!?!

guess its time to learn SW, the future of this software appears to have jumped ths shark, what a shame

With the ALT key you can override the tab stuff. The
show/erase is much more faster and user friendly (but lacks
some of the previous functionality). And the perfomance of
very large drawings has improved, just to mention a couple
of benefits.

Well, just wanted to give a little of hope to
whatttup_G...

Personally i have found show/erase better than before but
lacks some functionality of previous releases.

And some colleagues who work with massive assemblies are
much more happier with large drawing perfomance...

Anyway, i agree the inteface does not rock and some of us
are testing Creo 1.0 right now...

"much more happier"? If you are not an American, I totally understand. Translation is not easy. If you are an American, I totally understand. Our public schools are dumbing down our Country.

hehe Roger... i am spanish and i admit sometimes i make
mistakes.. I think i should have written 'more happy' or
just 'happier'... correct?

Sorry mistakes.. i keep learning (both english and Pro/E)

One reason for the lack of functionality from previous versions is thatthe dialog boxis now only Show. Also, it is only used to show deleted and what used to be called never shown dimensions and other deleted or never shown items. Erasing dimensions behaves like hiding features in the model tree.

you lot are sounding like old DOS geezers when windows came
out

Microsoft has said the ribbon bar is it - and so it will
be.

i appreciate the pat on the back, and i'd love to be with you on this, but i can't

show/erase... before you could turn both dims and axis on, and show them both with a click at once (even with some cryptic clicking) where now, its physically impossible because you have to shift the tabs back and forth from dims to axis (noted by the datum plane symbol  )... simply showing two types of things, means you have to repeat everything twice.. this was not the case before

personally i design and drawall my own stuff, and even when i knowwhat dims should pop in when i click my own work, its still a hurdle... what tab am i in, what tiny symbol is that, why doesn't my mapkey work... sorry but, drawing mode is a flaming pile of ineptitude... everything is slower, everything takes more clicks, what few improvements there, not many, are so outweighted by the destruction that its no contest

ribbon or not, its stupid.. does anyone from PTC come here, i swear i'm ready to consult for free, the pure retardation that is drawing mode makes me ponder who on earth tests this junk, or actually supports or approves it, as an upgrade.. i canguarentee you they aren't guys with jobs that require the use of pro/e for a living..

if DOS 3.3 had been replaced with a stone tablet and chisel, we'd be in total agreement

For those of you young enough to remember, the Commadore Amiga would run circles around any PC back in the mid-late '80's! I was doing 2D CAD on one in '88. GREAT computer.

I would like to know just who murdered it.
