Drawing x-hatching bogs computer down!!

I have a very fast workstation with a pretty good graphics card, but for some reason when I want to edit the x-hatching in section views in an assembly drawing the computer bogs down to an unbelievably slow speed. All other graphics/rendering related tasks seem to be lightening fast. Any idea what could be causing this?? Thanks.

I have the same question, but seems no one have an reasonable explanation for that

Check your cut for small slivers. In my past experience, if your cut line just cut a sliver of a part there were always problems.
