In the past I have driven a datum planes using an angular dimension. Geometry references this plane. All work well until the plane goes through 180 deg. All then goes wrong!. I assume this is down to the planes faces changimg colours. Is there a work round.
Thanks
PRO-E SPLITS CYLINDERS INTO TWO 180 DEG HALVES. I KNOW BECAUSE SUBMITTED A BUG REPORT FOR A TEST THAT FAILED BECAUSE THIS SPLIT SOMEHOW CHANGED. I ASSUME THIS IS THE PROBLEM YOU'RE RUNNING INTO. TO GET AROUND IT CREATE A COMPOSITE CURVE OR A CONSTRUCTION CIRCLE THAT IT PLACED CORADIAL WITH ANY CIRCULAR EDGES YOU MAY HAVE AS REFERENCES IN A SKETCH FOR A CHILD FEATURE. THE SAME PROBLE WILL HAPPEN IF YOU ARE USING AN ANGLED CENTERLINE AS A SKETCH REFERENCE. IF YOU ARE PATTERNING A FEATURE REFERENCING THE ANGLED PLANE MAKE SURE THAT YOU ARE USING THE PLANE AS A REFERENCE AND NOT A CENTERLINE OR OTHER LINE THAT IS NOT COLINEAR WITH THE PLANE.
