My approach would depend upon what I was going to do with the the model.
My first thought is that each human ear cavity is different... and maybe I might have opportunity improve upon the design. If that was the case I would not have the small part scanned, but I would utilize a bounding box or lattice structure. This robust curve geometry would be used to model the geometry ... not just remodel the geometry.
If you need something more accurate for some reason then I or the person modeling it would need to know what you wanted to use it for and maybe I would modify the approach. Edited by: design-engine
