EDITING A PART IN AN ASSEMBLY

Hi

I am very new on using solid works, very new on this forum and this is my first question.

Wheni edit a part or subassembly in an assembly i can't go back to assembly again and thename of part colourin assembly treechanges to colour other than black. and assemly fails to run properly.

How can i treat with this matter. Thanks

Denizden,

Go back to editing the original overallassembly as follows:place the mouse pointer over the part (or sub-assembly) that you have finished editing and right-click the mouse, then from the menu that appears choose "edit assembly".

That "editassembly"icon islike an on/off switch, use it the first time and it switches from editing the overall assembly to editing the selectedpart (or sub-assembly), and when you use it again it switches you back to editing the overall assembly.
