Egg Crate Foam

Hello,

Is there anybody who has been able to modelize an egg crate foam better than the one I attached?2007-10-16_162510_1003388-egg.prt.zip

Did you get any answers yet? I tried two sweeps at 90 degrees, using a sketched sine-wave curve. It created the basic egg crate shape but, due to the 90 degree angle, gave me an edge where they intersect. I also tried a diamond patterned helical sweep feature - weird looking. My boss thinks there is a mathematical solution. If you run across one, let us know. Meanwhile, I will keep experimenting.


I also downloaded your part - we are in WF2 so it didn't open. Maybe send a jpeg?
