Encapsulate an Assembly in plastic

What method would work best for encapulating and assembly with a consistant layer thickness of plastic in wildfire 2? I was thinking pro/surface... but would that be the easiest?

Basically the assembly consists of two hydraulic cylinders about 8 inch apart that are mounted to a casting to make a complete unit.. the complete unit will be coated in plastic... excluding the plungers..

thanks in advance

You can only copy surfaces from one part at a time per feature. So you might want assemble an empty part, default place it and then activate it to copy surfaces from parts and then merge the surfaces together. You can then do a 'thicken quilt' to add solid material to the quilt surface.
