Error message not understood

Morning all,

Its been a long time since I've had a question. A whole week and a half. :) I have an error message that just popped up that says "Err: Embedded datum data inconsistency error." What in the world is it telling me now? How can I find the source of this problem or turn the darn thing off? It pops up only when I regen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It means that one of your datum features has failed references that don't prevent Pro/E from creating the feature by guessing on the references to use.

I'd select checking your Feature Grouped Sketch Plane/s references or other datum features. The Embedded Datum is telling you they are the datums created with the pause or Datum tools during feature creation.

To help narrow down which datums are causing the error you can drag the arrow in the model tree up further until you stop seeing the error message when regenerating.

At least you're not seeing the Failure Diagnostics window. Although that would actually tell you what feature is causing the problem. A simple Redefine is probably a lot easier than a Reroute because it gives you more choices and will show a Red Dot next to the reference that is missing.
