Exclude by volume

Hi


Is their any way that you can set proe to exclude components in an assembly by their volume? ie you have an assembly its fully finished. The assembly contains 100's of small pasrts (nuts,bolts,split pins) in sub assemblies etc.


You would now liketo change a setting to automaticallyremove all of the small items.(Alternativly you can use a simplified rep, but finding and excluding all of the small items burried in the sub assemblies will take sometime .)


Is it possible to makeproeautomatically exclude all parts who's volume is less than 5% of the total volume of the assembly?

When I want to do such a thing (and its not that often I admit) I just use layers to control the on/off status of parts (nuts, bolts and washers). One P/N controls all.

Ctrl+F, Look for: Solid Model, Look by: Solid Model,
Size ..., ...


Exclude, blank, whatever floats your boat.
