In Wildfire 4, Explode view offset lines that were created in shaded mode are not visible in shaded mode, but they appear in hidden or wire frame mode.
Could it be a graphics problem? I use wf4 m040 and my offset lines show up in shaded on drawings. In the 3d file I have had to go to view>explode>offset lines>mod line style and change the color and/or linetype and then I could view it in 3d shaded. Hope this helps.
