I'm trying to create a spur gear that is driven by a worm gear.therefore i need to somehow extrude in an angle rather than parallel. would anyone able to give me some advice. Many thx
u can create spur by extrude.. but helical in parallel blend(placing both section rotated to helix angle) or by general blend(giving rotating the second section)
for helical u can also sweep (its correct procedure but it takes time & fils the model tree)
similar to helical gear model the worm gear. the difference is helical gear has inclined cylindrical root face as it engages with another helical gear.
but worm gear engages with worm screw. in the created helical gear u should cut the root cylidrical face using helical sweep(resembles the worm) to provide necessary space for engagement.
i tried. u try it and reply. i will check out soon.. any difficulty send mail to [email protected]
