feet and inches

I am lookiing to design a large object that interfaces with
a large building and want to design with feet, inches and fractions of
inches. I need to be able to input as feet and inches in the part
file and not just translate in the drawing.

You can change the default unit from inches to feet. I'm using Wildfire 2.0, so this is how to do it on that system.


Edit > Setup... (opens a menu manager) > Units


Select the FPS system for using feet.

Thanks. That moves me in the right dirrection but still leaves me
switching to feet and inches and then to fractions each time i input a
number. I am hoping to figure out how to have feet, inches and
fractions to be a default or configuration file. Any ideas about
how to do this?

I do know that in drawing mode, if you setuse_major_units to YES, the drawing will show feet & inches for any dimension tht is set to "fractional".
