File name length increase

Hello,

Is there anyway to increase the maximum file name length for pro/e parts? I'm trying to download some assemblies, but some of the individual part names are too long.

There is max lengrh (coded) - no way to extend it

That's what i was guessing. I've trying to pull linear slide assemblies off the web (through 3Dpartstream) but the file names are too long.

Not very familiar with 3Dpartstream, but sounds like you'll have to download to your hard disc, rename the files and then open them in ProE


....all seems a bit of a pain

EDIT:- Just a thought, but can you influance the name on the website in any way (I know that that's a long shot)
