fill between surfaces??

hi guys,

i have a problem with a shell shaped object I attach you.

I have to create two different thicknesses. with the shell instrument I was not able to achieve what i desired.

I have to fill or get thickness between the surfaces added in the part file attached. Does anyone of you knows how to achieve this "fill between surfaces" or achieve a different thickness?

mmmm

toooo stupid... thichen, solidify and offset tools..

sorry for annoying, I am a revolve and protrusion guy..

Sorry, I am currently away from ProE so I didn't look at the part, but genarally the easiest way to do what you want is to trim the original surface (click the change direction arrows in the trim section twice to still have both sides of a surface) and thicken each section to the appropriate thickness. You can also offset the surfaces to different heights and rebuild some surfacing around them to get exactly the shapes you might need.

Very strange that you are telling that you are arevolve and Protrusion guy but you want to make the part thorugh surfaces to get the thickness then ultimately you have to use the Solidify, other wise it will not have the material properties.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

you can get the thickness through a number of ways, like by simple Protrusion, variable section sweep, Blend, butproceeding with your model the right way to get the thickness is

just select the first surface youhave created

Edit>thickness and that's it.

you need not to make it offset as you did in your part, then using the Fill then Merge then Solidify.

i am sending you the part check this
