Jeff,

Sorry mate, but still a bit confused as to what you want to do. From above, I'm trying to work out what you want and what bit is rounded that you don't want. Can you be a bit more specific please

Cheers

Hope this helps. I remember someone telling me years ago, in order to do flat cables, your entry port coordinate system must have the "Y" axis pointing out, not the "Z" axis.

Hey Jeff,

Any luck on using the y-axis to get flat cables? I was recently introduced to Pro/Cabling, and making a flat cable is driving me bonkers. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

well i found a way to make the flat cables that esthetically work and i just put the cable info in the center cable. its been awhile since i did that so let me get to work and try it so i can give you accurate directions. its not hard just a poor memory.

ok istill havent had the time to redo the flat cable but after you create your cables you need to pack them correctly you can find the packing module under locations. then you can move them to bend correctly using the csys of each cable to bend around mech geom. if you still cant do it let me know and ill have to do a step by step and then let you know

Hey Jeff,

Thank you for the tip. I found a video on this site on how to change the grouping from round to flat - just as you mentioned.

Thanks!!!
