I have a auger and need to flatten the flights can anyone help?
I am using WF2.0. I used the helical sweep command to create
my auger, converted it to sheetmetal but it would not flatten.
It also has a Rhino version of the flat, included for
contrast and to, possibly, illustrate the futility of
trying to get something "useful" from the endeavor.
I think if I were to "get serious" about something like
this I'd look at getting someone to create a flat using
a software that incorps non-linear stress / strain calcs
in the process. There are a few around. AeroHydro
comes to mind, but a search should turn up others.
Can't vouch for any of them.
