hi, friends

i am working with proe wf2.0. i want to make a part flexible (specially gaskets,o-rings in my case ) in an assembly of valves based on the assembly constraints;mate or mate offset. i am more concern about the compression of the gasket based on the space between the two parts the gasket is in between.

please guide me as how can i achieve the desired result.

thanks and regards.

I worked with such models - predefined o-rings to be mounted in several different conditions.

I can not introduce You final solution, becouse it consisted of many strange relations, but main idea bedind it was to devide circle in to 8 pieces as below

the red are arcs, black ones are lines

so in general You can imagine how o-ring works when it is pressed Top-down or Left-right.

The key was to write special relations which maintain some proportions betwen arcs and line.

Plus, there were some parameters introduced at front to push user to declare which mountaining condition is required.

then there were parameters responsible for inner - outer dia, or height of depressed o-ring
