FLEXIBLE GROMMET STRIP

WE HAVE A GROMMET STRIP WE USE ON THE EDGE OF SHEETMETAL PARTS WHEN WIRES CROSS THEM. ENCLOSED IS THE A PART FILE AND A .JPG.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO HAVE THE GROMMET CONFORM TO THE SHEETMETAL EDGE, WHEN I ASSEMBLE IT. ANY IDEAS?

I'M THINKING IT MAY BE A WARP OR A SWEPT BLEND IN THE PRT.

What would be the added value of showing the strip as it is manufactured ? If you simply want to add a strip to show it is there and for BOM uses you could get along with a swept solid following the edge curve of the sheetmetal.

Thanks for the replies.

design-engine: We use this on many different sheet metal parts. I was hoping to have one part which I could then conform to the edge as necessary during assembly insertion.

AHA-D: We need to show it as bought in the part specification but I could make the sweep a straight line for this. How do I tie the final sweep on assembly to the edges of the sheetmetal?

Would take a little work.... I would use a sweep and cut it back (just like you would do with a knife in the field or on the Manufacturing floor).

Sweep would have the pattern like you want it and you would have to redefine the curve for each application drawing.Probably get it down to five minutes or less.

Those displays where you work are cool. Looks expensive...
