Flipping chamfer attachment

I'm not sure is it possible to change chamfer dimension attachment fromhorizontal to vertical or vice versa. I have the following drawing (see below) and want the chamfer dimension 2x45 to be shown as vertical dimension not horizontal. I know the workaround would be creating AnglexD chamfer and then flipping the side, but that's not what I want. Is there any drawing setup option or command that I don't know of?

Change your chamfer from "D x D" to "D1 x D2", set both dimensions the same. When in drawing, it will show both dimensions. Just keep the one you want and add the "2X" to the dimension text.

Have you actually created the chamfer as a true chamfer or just sketched it in the section. The reason I ask is that my chamfers automatically show up in note style

which is far more flexible to position

I have actually created it, with option DxD. As to D1xD2, with that you have to type two dimensions and still change dimension text to 2x45. So I don't achieve anything and is still better to create drawing dimension and drive the chamfer from the model.

Dell boy, how do you get the chamfers to show with one leader line. I can't find that option anywhere in wf2.

I would also like to know if anybody has found a way to switch the side
that a horizontal chamfer dimension shows on a diameter. Thanks

Set this in your .dtl file:
chamfer_45deg_leader_style std_asme_ansi

You can also edit attachment to move to other side of circle.

I've tried edit attachment and that does not move the dimension to the other side. Am I doing something wrong? thanks

Dr Gallup,

the chamfer_45deg_leader_style option is listed in the help system but
cannot be found from within Pro/E using Tools/Options so I wasn't sure
if it still relevant. Is this a hidden setting or one that PTC has lost
somewhere along the way.

Phoxeoy,

I have chamfer_45deg_dim_text set to iso/din and no setting for
chamfer_45deg_leader_style so I can only assume it is taking the
default std_asme_ansi.

Edit attachment should allow you to move chamfer dimensions to other locations. Try again.

It is a drawing detail (.dtl) file setting, not config.pro setting.

Yes, you can edit it in 2D drawing. Right click the mouse, click "Properties"-->"Drawing Options". Remember to save it after you revising it.
