Formats settings in Wildfire 2

Right, Recently some minor changes were made to our drawing formats. Nothing major, just company logo updates. Since this, we have been experiencing problems where the formats are not "remembering" all of the settings associated with it, such as Scale format is always decimal, text on leader lines is horizontal, tolerancing format is incorrect, etc. You can change it for that specific drawing, but in a new drawing the problem re-occurs.

This implied that these fields should be set within the format itself, but the format properties has remarkedly few parameters to set. Am I missing something?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated as we do not have an administrator and I'm getting sick and tired of changing all these settings manually!

Thanks in advance!

You will want to save your default drawing settings that you have made to control scale type and dimension size and tolerancing options to a single .dtl file in a shared network directory or in the Company PTC startup directory and use the following config option in your config.pro file.

drawing_setup_file X:/Full/Path/To/drawing_setup.dtl

This will ensure that you don't ave to manually upload or enter the changes for each drawing you work on. These options override any options set while in the Format *.frm file and are not saved with the format or brought in when the format is loaded. If you do dual dimensioning on some but not all your drawings you can have a separate dual_dims_settings.dtl file with those options enabled and keep it in the same directory. so it can be opened and make the changes required for the specific drawing. Otherwise you will have the proper settings for all drawings you open while the config option is set.

Drawing_setup_file is only woring if you don't use a drawing template. If you use a drawing template then the setting will be taken from the template.

In drawings options you will see 2 collums. Current and default. The default is always comming from ...proewildfire3\text\prodetail.pro. You can overwrite this file with your company.dtl file to make it easy to compare your company.dtl with current setting in the drawing
