Frozen object remains frozen after edit d

After replacing a placeholder part in an assy for the real detailed subassy, I am encountering problems with references.

The part remains frozen even after it is fully constrained by going through edit definition. Looking in info->parent/child I found there is a missing reference but that should no longer be there.

Is there a way to clean out this old reference?

Check the placement constraints of parts and subassemblies of this assembly. If one of them is frozen, it causes upper assembly to be frozen.

you can check the missing reference by viewing the full path of this reference.

Hi atalet thanks for your quick reaction.

All (sub-)parts are properly constrained (and not frozen)

The reference appears to be dangling. It looks like it was not properly cleaned up when I replaced the placehoder part.

full path gives an "explaination" in typical pro-e crypto, that can not be copy pasted so I will now manually retype it here:
<div style="margin-left: 40px;">**********************
FULL PATH
FOR REFERENCES OF FEATURE:
COMPONENT ID 735 (a_09434120.ASM) (A_09434000.ASM)
COLLECTED BY TREE SELECTION
<MISSING REF> ID434
************************
WARNING: THE REFERENCE IS MISSING

COMPONENT ID 735 (a_09434120.ASM) -> A_09434000.ASM (TOPLEVEL) ->
A_19434110.ASM (COMP ID 726) -> P_0943413.PRT (COMP ID 49) ->
EXTRUDE 2 -> AXIS ID 438

</div>Afaik that axis no longer exists, I hope there is a way to get rid of this outdated ref. I need to thaw this subassy it is all fully constrained, what else can I do?

kind regards
