I have a freebie gear model that was given some years ago, it will not work in Wildfire 2, can anyone tell me why not? I could send it by pm if you wish?

I think its being corrupted or being created with an educational version of pro/e, What error its showing while youn try to open it?

If it's failing when is regenerating, that means is comparable with your wf2. Suppress everything, and start redefining from the very first feature. Or do a model check regeneration, that'll tell youwhy is failing to regenerate.

There are some incompatibilities between older pro/e versions and Wildfire2! The only one way to resolve that problem is to try to redifine the features and ... be patient!

I looked at this model, the main failure comes from the tooth feature pattern; the tooth is trimmed with a vee shaped sliver to the centre of the gear. If it its trimmed instead to the base circle the problem is solved. But, under some conditions though the base circle is not being calculated correctly, then this causes a failure too. Note:-The model uses american nomenclature ie 'modular pitch' UK nomenclature is module/pitch diameter.
