As far as I know you have to choose in "Geometric Tolerance" menu under option "Placement: To Be Placed" an option "Dimension" and just to pick a dimension. That is one way but there are other ways also, so it would be better if you could specify what you want to do exactly.
What do you need help with? Do you need to know how to put Gtols in the model / detail? Do you just want to put a Gtol to a dimension? More information is needed to answer your question correctly.
First set your datums (If required for your geotol type). An easy way to do this is to right click on the datum (or axis) and select properties. This can be done in part/assy mode or dwg mode. Personally, I prefer to do it in dwg. mode.
Then in dwg mode, select the geotol icon or go to Insert/geometric tolerance.
There are many possibilities here but the menus are self explanatory, assuming you have a good understanding of the use of geotols.
