Getting rid of Family Table in a drawing

navanee

New member
HI,

I have created a part and ithas an instance. In the drawing, I called the instance and created drawing.

Now, I dont want thedrawing modelto be an instance. I want to make it independent of the generic part. But at the same time, I want the drawing too. Is there any way to accomplish this?

If no, I will have to recreate the entire drawing... so plz tell mea way...

Thanks,

navanee.

Open the family table, select the instance, then go to edit/copy instance to generic. Then go back to the drawing, go to properties, and drawing models. Then select replace, and pick the generic as a replacement. The drawing will reference the generic now, and you can blow away the family table and do a save a copy.

Even easier.

Open drawing.
Open generic part.
Open Family Table.
Select instance. RMB select delete rows.
Close family table.
You will get a message that the instance is no longer table driven. Save drawing. Save original generic part.
