Group patterns - adding a feature

would you believe I am doing something similar at the moment.. it's a pain. luckely, all I wanted to do was add in some constructio ndatum features to reorientate my sketch of an extrude - so Iwas able to pause it and add in the features on the fly..

I'm not sure how to do it otherwise.. delete all me thinks!

Does anybody know why you can't add a feature into the leading group of a pattern?

Or am I doing something wrong?

Is there a workaround?

Cheers

I think this is allowed in WF3.

Prior to this, the workaround is to break the group (delete the pattern) insert the feature, re-group, re-pattern (to bad for the children) OR plan your work better.

I deliberately hold off patterning groups until I am happy that they are stable or try to set up the patterns so I don't need to group them in the first place.

nope, you're not doing anything wrong. it's a major weakness in my opinion of the package. you also cannot insert a featuer into a mirror.
