Helix Pitch Parameter

Zeke

New member
This may be something I am missing, but I can't determine how to get the parameter symbol for the pitch dimension in a helix feature to use in a relation.

If you select Edit for the helical sweep you will see the section and profile features.

Select the profile feature and Edit. This will show you the defining definitions for the profile and the pitch.

Highlight your thread and hold the right mouse button. Select Edit. After you select Edit, hold the right mouse button again and select Show Sketch Dimensions. The Pitch is there, but may be hard to see sometimes, if you need to, zoom in on your feature. It will be called out like a note as shown in the picture I have attached with it highlighted.

If you are wanting to see what that would be as a parameter for use in relations, goto to the top and select info -> Switch Dimensions. This will show what each dimension is in it's parameter format. Below I have added a picture of mine after I have selecting Switch Dimensions

In my example, You can see that my Pitch Dimension is d141.

Hope this helps.
