Help for creating a V-Belt model

Hello,

Can any one help me in creating a V-Belt model in ProE, but I need to create it in an assembled condition, where it is fitted to pulleys placed at 90deg.

So in order to achieve this, where I am facing problem is, the gradual twist in the belt while going from one pulley to another.

Please help me

Thanks in advance

I would assemble the pulleys like you need them.

Then I would create the V-Belt with the shape that you need. I think a sweep is enough. Then I would assemble the V-belt and then from the assembly in model tree I would go directly to the curve that gives you the trajectory and redefine it, constrain it to be tangent to the pulleys.

I guess youcould useswept blendfor your 90 degree situation.

Sketch a 3d curve wich passes though the center, or in tangent to the pulley as you like, then you willneed a minimum of4 sections in the tangent points(where belt leaves in contact of the pulley) in each pulley.

Sketching them and giving proper startpoints could be tricky.
