Hiden lines on .pdf export

SW

New member
When I export a .pdf using the save as option, the hidden lines appear in light grey and do appear to be dashed, but the scale of the dashed is so large that they appear to be solid lines. Is there anyway of changing the scale of the dashed lines, or is there something else I'm missing?

I could print to a .pdf file, but the text is not searchable.

I'm using Wildfire 4 pre-production but had the same problem with Wildfire 3.

I've tried a number of options but not got very far but when I modify the line style using Format - Line Style - Modify Lines, and then select a line there is a line font called "PDFHIDDEN_LINESTYLE", but I can't find how to edit this.

Any ideas?

There are a few topics on this but as far as I can tell nothing conclusive, I've tried changing plot_linetype_scale and pdf_use_pentable, but to no effect. Has anyone actually got this to work? I've shown two images below illustrating the problem.
