Hot key for switching windows....

Is there a hot-key for switching to the next window? I understand CTRL + A activates a window but I wanna move from one model to the next without WINDOW--> <select model>.

I think Alt+Tab, and Alt+Shift+Tab is the way to go. When you have multiple windows open in ProE they are shown separately on the windows task bar.

If you have the taskbar option Group similar taskbar buttons turned on this may affect your ability to use Alt+Tab but I haven't tried that. you will also see other programs if they are in between your first and last ProE window.

Alt Tab will pop windows but it won't activate them in Pro/E, at least on my system. Windoze XP, WildChild 2.

This is true. I got used to Alt+Tabing and then Ctl+A ing right away. Requires no mousing around, and it works quite well once you get the hang of it.

Of course, this is my oldschool ACad mind at work. My left hand is usualy rested on Ctl+D or Ctl+G if i'm not doing anything else at the moment. I stil catch myself using L for Line in the sketch mode now and again.

i'm an old acad'er myself but i don't remember ctrl + d, and i was a command line and hot key junkie (thus this topic)!pretty cool, in solidworks you can use acad command line commands.

Yeah, my company is rolling over from ACad to ProE, so we are going to try and set some of those old text commands as mapkeys in ProE.

The Ctl+d is a ProE thing. It's the shortcut for returning to default view in a model. Ctl+g is the regen shortcut.
