How do I flatten this quilt?

I can't figure it out. I've tried the Pro|E "help" but I still can't flatten it.
It's just an extruded sheet. The two straight bits at the ends are perpendicular to each other. It would be nice to know how to use this feature even if it may be easier to convert to sheet metal in this case.

Insert > Advanced features > Flatten Quilt

and then

Insert > Advanced features > Bend Solid

Can you walk me through the flatten quilt feature? I've tried the help but I still can't get it to work.

Okay, update. I can get it to work with all surfaces except the highlighted one. Perhaps because it's bent more than 90 degrees? It can't be because it's divided into unconnected surfaces because there's another like that which works.



I tried dividing the surface, in sketcher mode, into two smaller parts which were less than 90 degrees but for some reason the surface isn't divided.
