How do i save so compatible with previous

There is a PTC TPI available from www.ptc.com that explains it.

You still don't get full associative parametric features when the file is opened in the older version.

Checkmate,

Savein .NEU format. That is the only way an older version of Pro will open a part. It does result in a "dumb" first feature: the only way to modify that is by cutting or adding protrusions.

Checkmate,

You can save it as a neutral file, and use the associative topology bus (ATB) to update the part features when you change it in the later release.

then when you open it again in the lower version you run the ATB to check the status or update the part.

you need to enable this function in your config file and restart pro e.

topobus_enable "yes" and restart the session for both versions ( 2001 and above)

you can set it to auto check parts when you open them as well.

atb_auto_check_on_retrieve "yes" ( there are other ATB options for this too)

cheers,

M
