How do I weld this?

I am trying use the welding module of Pro and I jave come across this problem. I can create a simple fillet weld as shown on right hand upright, but when I come to add the weld to the left hand upright that resides on the edge of the horizontal bar I run into problems. Can anyone help me add a fillet weld all round?

Thanks in advance

I think the problem is that its not a fillet weld all around that vertical. The edge would be a square weld I think. Pro-Weld isnt really supported for most companies standards because of the weld ntoe it shows on the drawings. I typically add my welds as an annotation to the assembly.

Think practically how that would be possible to weld at the end of upright top and horizontal tube which are in collinear. I guess this left end is gonna join with other. so if you weld it by some other ways and grond it well to get smooth finish to butt with some other end. Its one and the same that welding on that particular edge andground it, leaving asis that particular edge.

As I can see, Welding on one side with fillet other two sides (width wise) single V-weld) and the alighned face with either single or double V weld should work. will need to try.

I also don't bother with welds in the model unless an FEA is called for. If you are looking for the extra strength provided by the absent fillet weld, why don't you lengthen the bottom tube (obvious) or, bevel either of those existing parts at that intersection and fill it in with weld.

RED DEVIL,

Pervious postshave it right. the 3 welds are fillets. The one on the end is a square goove butt joint, or a butt joint with no joint preparation, as in not "v-eed" or ground/machined/etc. The 2 pieces are just "butted" together.
