How offset solid text normal to surface

I"m from Slovakia (forgeiv me for my english)

I have problem with normal offset to surface as solid
In PRoE 2001 i was used tweak resource.
Please help me i"m desperate

I want make extrude from text as a solid
I was make before in proe 2001 and it was possible.It is
possible in solid edge too. In proe 2001 it was tweak command and i dont
know how it command name in Wildfire.

well You can not do that))))) it is Pro\E and it has its own limits for Offset. So You can use sketch but not with text

however, do not be sad, there is work around

first - make a sketch with text
second - make another sketch where You copy first one by Use Edge > loop

now You can use this second sketch to make draft offset, normal offset

so finally what is all about?

simple - Pro\E checks sketcher if it contains text inside made by Text button. If yes, it does not allows You to make offset

but when You just create text by Use EDge - no problem

stupid? - yes

simple? - no

If u read the thread (url I paste here) u can see how different people do that. what I did, first I make a sketch, in offset command, I go to sketch and use "use edge" option to trace text from previous sketch. by this, u cant pick whole text in one attempt, it will show a msg, "unresolved geometry". so u can trace two or three alphabets at once (depends upon complex edges of alphabet). Try it

I know make text and then other sketch with one loop using but i dont"know how make one datum curve in offset.Because when im remarking this loop in offset comand it is possible only step by step not as one curve.I dont know how extrude this other sketch as normal tu surface.

Mean you offset in edit or in style tool?I m confused.

make first curve with text

make second curve in the same place, and make a Use Edge command for each letter, so then You will have a new sketch with full text

use Edit>Offset with draft

it exist,

first pick surf>must be in pink

then offset>expand the menu and choose with draft feature
