How to assign materials

glue

New member
Hi there,

I have a wing which includes reinforcements like beams etc. Thing is all those features have different materials type (skin is in Glass fiber reinforced plastic, beams are PVC...). I've defined all my material properties but when I try to assign them I have choice between the part file as a whole or some surfaces. Most of the surfaces however are hidden by the wing skin and I can't pick them up.
When I try to click on the model tree to choose the feature I would like, it does not seem to work properly (proE returns to previous window). Is there a way to overcome this issue or was I suppose to create each feature seperately and assemble them in an .asm file?

Thanks in advance for your help

do you mean that when u try to select the internal surface all u get is the external surface? if so have you tried in wire frame right click>query>select the surface u want>select the correct one from the list that pops up?

Thanks for the suggestions, didnt try to assign them in the wireframe mode!
