how to change model size?

Your model has some geometry off in space somewhere. Do you have a datum plane, point or coordinate system that is far away from the solid geometry? Nothing you can do about it unless you can delete or suppress the offending features. As a work-a-round, you can create named views that are zoomed in.

the problem was not there previously, suddenly it has come..it is only the change in the model size that caused this, can we change the model size(diagonal boundary)

Like dr_gallop says, it does sound like you have some geometry which extends far away from your model, highlight each command that you have created ( make sure you have datums / axis / points etc displayed ) and see if anything highlights itself in pro-e.

Failing that, try to explain a little more and we will see what we can do, otherwise if possible post your file and we will try to help you out.

The part is made up of an imported feature from CATIA, so it has a CSYS which is referenced by the imported feature, these two are not that far apart, to an extent that the imported feature itlself becomes tiny..

Earlier, some sessions ago, the zoom all showed it , but now it did not show it, because the model size has increased (with out my intention). Please advise on how to cahnged model size..

Thanks

not scale, i want to change the boundary of the model which is now very large so that the model is not visible when zoomed all.

As others have said, the boundary is determined by all of the location of all the objects, so if your part is too small, then you must have an object that is far away from the part. Try suppressing features from the bottom up to determine the offending object. You may have features/objects that are at different scales because of the import.

ok,

I have only the imported feature in the model to below the CSYS , still the zoom all yields the same result, the model size is too big compared to the model.

what is the problem?

Thanks all.

OK, the issue is solved by trial and error, i just rerouted several times, finally the model size has reduced and now zoom all is showing the imported feature as normal size..

HOwever, I dont what caused the model size to change. It may be a bug in WF 2.0?

Thank God, i recovered..

Do you think that the part was modeled in the "vehicle position"?? In such case when you import it into a default start part it'd still show up only in the vehicle position.

In that case, you can create a coordinate system on the part itself, re-export it referring to the new csys and import it into another part.

yes, you are right. the part was modelled in catia with the vehicle centre as reference.

yes, thanks for the idea, of re exporting and importing
