how to install proe2001

hello,


could you please tell me the basic procedure for the installation of proe201 on PC. i am trying it for the last one month but could not get it all around. please help me i will be highly obliged for your kind help.actually i made the proe2001 to come on the desktop but when i click on the icon it could not open the program.help me.

In order to help u i need to get the following info.


1. What is the error it is showing when u click the icon on desktop?


2. are u using node lock license or using license server?


3. Please check whether your lmgrd process is running to fetch u the license.


you can see this in the windows task manager->processes..


I assume that u use windows.


Have you successfully installed proe 2001?

Actually i did the following steps for installing proe2001.


click on the crack folder in proe2001 dump---- copy all the folders & paste them in the new folder( in the c drive-- program files---- PTC folder )----- open read me folder ---- drag PTC.Dat file in this read me file---- then add host number to evrywhere in the readme opened file( the host number will be from set up ) ----- then save this notepad in the same file ----- double click on the KEY GEN file----- click on SET UP-----


Check pro/engineer----- next---- choose for installation directory as C:\programfiles\proe2001---- next----- clickADD on specify license serverdialog box----- click on the LOCKED LICENSE FILE----- browse for the C:\program files\ptc\license.dat--- ok---- click next next 2 times ----in create and configure dialog box i had automatically two entries filled PROE2001.BAT & NCPOST2001.BAT----next----next----Optional configuration steps (i just clicked on all the options) ----- next---- PTC OLE SERVER--- start up command (It was ncpost2001.bat)----then comes WINDOWS preferences (I just clcked for Desktop & Program folder)---- the other entrieswere automatically filled---- next--- Dcad configuration dialog box appears----proe start up command was [proe2001.bat]----next---- Remote toolpath computation server---- in this dialog box itautomatically choose for proe start up command(proe2001.bat)&Directore to run was (Crogram files\proe2001\rbm_rundir)--- next ---- on HELP location click on ADD and browse for c:\programfiles\ptc----next--- HTML browser preferences click on ADD and browse for Crogramfiles\ptc\license.dat----next----click on start installing button (YES)---- it took 5 minutes to complete the task.


But the problem is that when i click on the Proe2001 icon on the desktop it doesnot open the proe program. so please guide me if there is any mistake in my installation steps.

I have never used crack licenses.


It seems it has installed, but license is not fecthed.


any way

Go to task manager and find it in processes.


That's what I can say now.
