HOW TO INTERSECT AN INTERSECT

i already worked around this problem with an additional 15 features surfaces and merges and copying lines but what i am trying to do is this

i have 3 sketches i intersected the first 2 now i want to intersect the third with the intersection i made the option is not available when i have the 2 pre-highlighted

any clues?

Create an intersection of 2 of the sketches. Then create a second intersection of the new curve and the third intersection.

Allan,

Can you explain this more in detail? If I understand you correctly, you are saying that it's possible to create an Intersect curve from a previously Intersect curve and a sketch.

I can only get the Intersect command to work with two sketches.

Instead of intersecting "sketches", create a datum curve using the first sketch. Then create another datum curve using the second sketch. In the model tree, highlight both curves then pick Edit, Intersect on the top toolbar. Now create another curve using the third sketch. In the model tree, highlight the "intersected curve" with the third curve the pick Edit, Intersect again.

Another way of creating this curve, is to create the first 2 as surfaces, then merge them together. Then create a "projected" curve onto your merged surfaces. This should only be 4 features: surface, surface, merge, and Projected.
