importing STP files

Hi

I have an STP file I've downloaded from the Parker website of a hose fitting.

When I bring the fitting in the color is green and purple. This would be ok but when it shows up on a drawing it prints very light.

One of the options when importing is to "close all surfaces and make solid".

But the result is that the part comes in purple rather than white!?

any ideas?2011-05-24_120434_13943-12-12.zip

IDD=Import Data Doctor, right click on the imported feature and select edit definition,it will take you into IDD!(look for it in geometry menu)

ok when I opened your part it came in solid(white).

When I try to bring the neu file in it comes in purple......I right click on the geometry and start looking for the "solidify" button but its greyed out under the "Edit" functinality.......I'm also able to get into IDD but I don't see a "solidify" button.......

you need to preselect a closed quilt (all purple) in order to make solifiy enabled in edit menu.
there's also a solidify command if you edit definition the imported geometry and goto>Edit>feature properties>make solid.
