Inserting special ASCII symbols in text

I am revisiting on old topic to see if anyone can shed some more light on the subject. I am trying to enter a "greater than or equal too" symbol in a line of text. I have found the ASCII number for the "greater than or equal too" (alt+244). The symbol shows up in the text editor box, but once you hit OK it disapears and then when you go back and edit the note it turned the symbol into a letter "b".

Any ideas?

Thank you,

Matt
