Intent edge selection not working.

I am currently using WF5/Elements, and no matter how many YouTube videos
I watch, I can not seem to get the intent edge selection to work
properly.

From what I have seen/read, you should be able to RMB on an edge and
then LMB to cycle through intent edges of a feature to immediately add
things such as rounds/chamfers. When I RMB on an edge to select it and
then LMB ...nothing happens. I can cheat slightly by RMB on edge and
then holding shift while selecting the pick-from-list option. However,
this only gives me intent edges/surfaces that are directly connected to
my initial selection.

What I am really trying to do, is to grab all the vertical edges of a
feature at once. e.g. RMB one vertical edge of a cube, LMB to
simultaneously grab all four vertical edges, then directly apply a round
feature.

Am I missing something? A config option? Perhaps an extensions package? Or just my mind?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Happy Friday,

Note that this functionality does not work on "old" parts. So if you create a part from a template that was created long ago, it won't work. There is a work-a-round. You have to set config option logical_objects yes. Then FULLY regen (use the Model player and the rewind to start (before the first feature)). Then unset logical_objects (this may no longer be necessary).

Thank you for the help. The problem was in fact with our start-parts.

Unfortunately though, I'm not exactly sure how I fixed it. I went back and created all new start parts in WF5, and the intent selection worked exactly as advertised within the start-part. However, whenever a new part was created using the new template, it no longer worked.

Through a series of regens and refreshes (including several model rollbacks using the Model Player) ...it started working.

Kind of curious now, how many other new features go unnoticed due to legacy start-parts.
