INTRALINK Server on XP Operating System

Is anyone running INTRALINK 3.4 or 9.1 on a dataserver computer that is running XP Pro (32 bit), as opposed to Windows Server 2003?

Technically, XP is only supported for Intralink Client, but I have been running Intralink 3.3 Dataserveron my computer running XP Pro (32 bit)with no problems.

I'd like to install Intralink 3.4, and then Intralink 9.1 on the same machine running XP Pro (32 bit), but don't want to waste my time if anyone know it definitely WON'T work.

Thanks.

It will work on Windows XP but I think the reason it's not supported is because Windows XP will only allow 10 inbound connections to it. That's why it works fine for you but if you want to allow more people to access the dataserveryou'll run into issues eventually. The server OS'sremove the connection limitation.

Yes it works fine. However; you cannot follow the upgrade process in the documentation from 3.3. Follow these steps:

1. Install 3.4 M012 on XP. There is more to this step such as installing JRE and so on.

2. Import your 3.3 dump file and run healing scripts.

3. Export your 3.4 M012 dump file.

4. Completely uninstall dataserver, file server, and Oracle. Remove all Oracle registry entries and Zero G folders. Uninstall Java.

5. Install target (M040 - M061) Intralink.

6. Import M012 dump file as normal.
