Is it possible to do a COS across multiple surfaces? Whenever i have tried i am limited to a single surface panel. The only solution i have found was to use free and constrain to the surface, but in some places the curve lifts from the surface (when there's no point at the location).

No, you have to string the COS curves across each surface. If you arrange the endpoints correctly, you might be able to make them all tangent depending on your surfaces.

you can project accross multiple surfaces.... thats better most times anyway.... you can get your COS curves to connect at the intersections of the patch tho. I just showed this in a MN surfacing class ;)

Thanks for the responses.

MGNT8 : I have used this method a few times but i think its a little annoying. I was hoping to shed some light on an alternative thats a little faster.

Bart: Ill give projection a try.

Corey: Please expand on "drop"--do you mean project?

With free selected i was using the CTRL key to constrain the curve onto the surface. I would hop along the surface constraining each point to be on the surface---My problem was that it would raise from the surface between control points.

Thanks for all the advice guys.

Eric

In ISDX they actually call the command "drop" rather than
project, essentially it is a project relative to a plane.
Just the naming conventions you will see in ISDX.
