i have tried & sucessfully created, a diomond knurl by first making cris-crossing cuts on a rectangular plate and then torrodial bending the rectangular plate. but the problem is that it takes a lot of memorey space & hell lot of time. definitely not an option one can use if multiple knurled parts are nedded.
