length totals

I am trying to create a column in my drawing that will add up the quantity along with the length of my parts which is listed as another column in my table. When i try to just change the properties of it i get it to show 2*20 instead of 40. I've tried messing around with relations by adding a relation TL=rpt_qty*asm_mbr_length. then adding a summation TL, paramater length. but that just ends up getting me to a total length of 0 in my drawing. any ideas?

For some reason it doesn't work if you only put a relation you need to use aIF statement like here [url]http://www.mcadcentral.com/proe/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=34 372&PN=1[/url]


In your case it should be :


if rpt_qty==1


tl=asm_mbr_length


else


tl=rpt_qty*asm_mbr_length


endif


and write &rpt.rel.tl in you repeat region
