Limiting a Planar connection’s motion

Hi all,

I'm a ProE newbie and I'm trying to muddle my way through a planar connection.

I am modelling a mobile phone - and have created both the top and bottom as separate parts. I have created a planar connection between both of these in a new assembly, and now it slides along the plane as I wish it too.

The problem however is I cannot limit it's motion to a defined range (or rather, I don't know how too). Obviously a phone when opened only goes a certain distance, how do I put this restriction into place for ProE?

If anyone could fill me in on this basic thing in ProE, it would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi.
What you can do is constrain the part leaving one free direction.
Then go to mechanism connection and set 2 planes or surfaces for the translation.
See the picture below:

You have no concept of how much of a live saver you are. Thank so you much! I've been trying for hours!

P.s. I'm glad no one was at home to hear all the silly cheering noises and chants I made.
