Linking Part Unit of Measure to Parameter

Hello all:


I am interested in having the unit of measure of the part that I am working on show up in a parameter. For instance, if the part is set to inches, I want that linked to my units parameter and it to say "Inch". If the part gets changed to metric, I want the units parameter to update to "MM"


I have looked through all the relations and parameters to find where the Units is a linkable item, and have been unsucessful.

I think I submitted that enhancement request about 15 years ago, should be showing up any decade now. Pro/E knows the units, can change the units but AFAIK there is no way to get the units out of it and onto a drawing. I use a parameter but you have to manually change it if you change the model units.
